Week 3: Circus birthdays!

This week we celebrated Macy's 3rd birthday with a circus-themed birthday (see www.365daysofmacy.blogspot.com for those pics) and a trip to the circus, but unfortunately I didn't get any photos of Olivia's first circus trip.... But we did dress her and her big sister in somewhat matching shirts and had to get a pic of that of course!  :)

Okay, and we had to try the clown nose on her too!  :)

Week 2: Photo shoot & siblings

Finally got a chance to take a few more pics of the girl as she slept -- some detailed shots to record her sweet features.  Also tried to get some photos with Andrew & Macy, but we had just come back from the playground and she really wasn't interested in taking pictures at that point in time....but I'm posting them anyway :)  Enjoy!

Week 1: Welcome, Olivia Jane!

Miss Olivia Jane Mendez was born at 12:37pm on Thursday, August 2, 2012.  She weighed 7lbs 13ozs and was 19.75 inches long.  She was my third and largest baby, born via c-section at the same hospital as Andrew & Macy.  The day was long and tiresome but we are very blessed that she's finally here and healthy... and simply the best baby ever.  No, really, she is.  :)  So welcome to her very own photo blog.  Her big sister had one for her 1st year of life (365daysofmacy.blogspot.com), so of course she has to have one of her own :)  The out-of-town-not-on-facebook friends and family will appreciate this. Enjoy seeing Olivia's very first week of life, in photos!  (just a warning - there are a lot of photos in this first entry but from here on out there probably won't be as many...and definitely less writing - I'll leave that to my normal blog)

My family waited as patiently as possible and jumped to my bedside as we rolled down the hallway to my room.  :)

She found that thumb right away!  (but has since not had a care in the world for it!)

Despite the photo, she loved having her head washed, and still does...a girl after my own heart :)

My turn!  Recovery was tough on me and I waited quite a while before holding her just from the dizziness and nausea.  Better safe than sorry, and daddy had her right next to my bedside the whole time so I knew she was fine until I was too :)

The sweetest 3 kids ever.  In my opinion anyway.  :)

Of course it didn't take me too long to get her up and into a photo shoot of her own.
